Hermanus Business Chamber AGM
FEBRUARY 2024
The Hermanus Business Chamber’s Potjiekos Competition on Friday, 16th February, at the Groenberg Jukskei Club in Sandbaai was a hit. Along with the main event where participants showed off their skills by cooking up a storm of potjies, we also enjoyed a Jukskei demonstration among other activities. This added a nice touch to the day, giving everyone a chance to see the sport in action.
Judging the competition wasn’t easy with the variety and quality on display. Our judges, local celebrity Katinka Heyns, Jean Orban (who also kept things running smoothly as the Master of Ceremonies), and Roedolf van der Berg from Burgundy restaurant, had their work cut out for them.
A local DJ kept the mood light with music, making for a relaxed atmosphere where people could chat and network. When it came to prizes, Snyman’s Attorneys won Best Potjie, CMV Accountants had the best theme, and Kalfiefees was recognized for the best theme spirit. Harcourts, WRAP Project Office, and Homes@Overberg also got merit prizes, including vouchers to visit Panthera Africa.
